ibis Paint X App Reviews

After working great for about 2 hours, the tool bar stopped working, I cant save the art,exit out of the art in the app, change the colors that I am using, all I can do is use the white, I cant do anything else. I thought maybe the apple pencil had died, so I went to charge it. Still didnt work. Maybe I had to re-sync the pencil? I tried it without the pencil, still didnt work. Re-synced the pencil, didnt work then either. No error popped up on screen, It just stopped working.

(Rather long review) Ive not written any reviews for Ibis Paint, however I have been using it for almost 2 years or so, give or take; due to this fact, I believe the time for it has arrived. Firstly, I have absolutely zero complaints about this app. For me, it is not glitchy, laggy, enigmatic, or of low-quality. (And they dont even charge you for brushes? Come on, IP is a keeper, albeit I would still support the app & creators with my purchases, if the aforementioned was not the case). I can actually tell how much work goes into this app by its creators and I sincerely thank them; especially with the newest update which includes a plethora of new brushes and... Wait— filters? Yep! I USE THIS APP 24/7 AND I NEED YOU GUYS TO GET RID OF THE ROTATION WHEN YOU PLACE TWO FINGERS ON THE SCREEN. ITS TERRIBLE. EVERYTIME I ZOOM IN IT ROTATES

I love this app! Without this app I wouldnt have anything to draw my commissions with. Thank you so much for making this app and continuing to work on it! Although, perhaps you could see if you could get this app on the Amazon AppStore? Thanks!

I love this app. I love it. Ive used it for 3 years, and Ive always wanted transparent backgrounds. I get on, hey! Update. TRANSPARENT BACKGROUNDS! ...And then it does not work... ...False hope... Fix it please, I use an ipad2

This app is cool, but I disliked the new rotation feature. Fortunately it can be disabled, but once in the Configuration Tab (or at least what I think is the Config. Tab) you dont see any option to turn it off, fix this please!

this is a superb app for artists! though, I have some suggestions for further additions, as well as a glitch. my glitch started when I got the new update (which is fantastic, great job Ibis!), some layers or even parts of layers would clear, most of the time when using the Lasso tool. when I pressed the undo button the app might crash or it may erase even more. the suggestion I have is that you make some kind of tool that you can make lines that you can adjust, like in the Pages app (which for some of the apple products). this makes a sleek line and you can adjust certain parts of the line to make one or more curves. this would make outlining things far nicer looking and easier. I also suggest when using the lasso tool, you may copy the selected area. this would help making things symmetric in a simpler and more convenient way. thank you for taking my suggestions into consideration, and I trust you to fix the glitch!

I use this app all the time. I love it...yet... The layers start clearing by themselves and Ive lost 2 of the best drawings Ive ever made. Please fix it. Please.

(For those of you who are complaining about the screen rotating, you can fix it with the settings cog in the section with the lasso and the wand) I love this app, Ive been using it for 3 years and I highly recommend it! However the newest update randomly deletes layers! Its extremely frustrating.. PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP PLEASE! :(

its the only thing i use to draw but it deleted my progress and screwed up my friggin drawing, the paint bucket it weird, and the update made it worse by making the zooming in option, let to tilt the drawing every time you zoom in, other than that, its ok

This app does a tremendous job for digital drawings. I know plenty of users who could agree. Unlike others, I think the rotation is very helpful. Not only because its helpful for outlining difficult spots, but its more comfortable than turning your wrist all the way around or the device itself. I use this for both my iPhone 6, and my tablet. Other than that theres barely any issues.

the tilting feature added in ruined the app and i cant disable it at all. anytime i try zooming in or moving the picture around it tilts all dramatically and it gets really annoying and i just want to use the app like it was before. cant people just tilt whatever device they are using? this is so useless.

I really loved this app up until the latest update. The new feature that allows you move and tilt the canvas is really throwing me off. Its nearly impossible for me to zoom in on an area without the drawing getting tilted a lot. Its really frustrating. Otherwise I think this app is amazing. I love using it but I just HATE the new update.

You need to give us the ability to turn off this tilting thing. I dont even want to use this app anymore because its so annoying. Every time I want to zoom the whole picture just turns on me. I tried getting used to it but I cant. Its getting way too annoying. Please fix this.

With the new update, yeah there is a problem with the rotate and tilt, but it can be deactivated. Its under settings and its like the third one down. Im just curious if the ibis paint x and ibis paint are the same app?

Ive been wanting to have some feature to tilt the canvas, and Im glad you did. It helped me draw curly lines because last time, they look a bit squiggly (I dont know how to really explain) So far, few crashes has happened to me. A few bugs that I have found was that sometimes the screen flashes a bit and it resets the line you drew or the spot you erased. I dont find it as something very major, but it can be a bit annoying to me, so if you can fix that Ill be very pleased. One thing I want to know is how to save your movie of drawing your painting. Not uploading it. Just saving it on your camera roll. If you could make it an option, I would love that. Also, the option called, "Artwork JENPG" or something like that, Ive been emailing it to myself hoping that is how you save the movie on your camera roll. However, it only says the title of your painting and nothing else. I dont know what JENPG means, but I havent read most of the description. If you can make an option to save the movie of your painting into your camera roll, Ill rate this 5 star because its the app that I have been using for one year that hasnt caused many problems. (Of course, there are the bugs)

This is, by far, the best drawing app Ive ever come across, with a stabilizer and everything. But I do have some suggestions for the future updates. There should be a feature where you can make a video and save it, like a speed painting type. There should also be more varieties of brushes that should be added.

This app is nice, however, there is one problem. Whenever you try to import a picture, the app crashes and returns you to the home screen. This can get annoying when you are trying to import a reference for a character that has a complicated design, or character references in general. Please fix this in the next update.
